Sessions timeout waaaay to quickly.
I can be in another browser tab for five minutes, go off and do something, then come back, and it's logged me out.

Sometimes, it'll log me out before I even finish writing a post.
I think VB has a setting for that.

Would you guys mind looking into it?

Otherwise, you ROCK!
Keep up the great work. I love this place!

Sammy, only the occasional person runs into that problem so it isn't an overall setting. I had trouble like that during 2 different time periods, but it eventually went away both times. Now I never seem to need to log in anymore again. Maybe it fixed by logging in from a different place with the 'keep me logged in' box checked.

I too had that problem a few times.
I did a login but left the PW blank and it takes you to a separate sign-in page.
Login there and check the "keep me logged in) box.

That cures my issue till I do certain disk cleaning (cookie cleaning, ect) functions, then I do it again and it auto logs me in from then on.

Hope this helps.

Donley's solution works. The other way to do it is to try to reply to a post when you are logged out. The password entry screen that appears there will keep you permanently logged in.

didnt work for me also the post thing is how i log in quite often when i wind up timing out so that dosent work for me either.

but oh well anything worth your time and attention always has one or two minor annoyances
but that is life without the annoyances we would not truly appreciate the good things that make it worth while to put up with them.

Is there any way that I can make the text of what is written in this forum bigger?

The messages appear in what could be font size 8 and it's really difficult for me to read.
I wear bifocal lenses and even peering through the bottom half I find it hard see everything.

Can I make the text bigger?

Falcon, I just make text size bigger through my browser when I'm here. I don't know what browser you use, but its usually under the 'View' menu.

I use Firefox Sunshyn and I'll try that.

if you have a scroll wheel on your mouse press and hold ctrl and turn the wheel at the same time to make the text larger or smaller.

now as for my log out issue I don't know what i did but I haven't been logged out for the last 5 hours so I think its fixed for me.

That's an excellent tip, Charley - thanks for sharing that!

I've done it accidentally a couple times, but wasn't sure what I did or how I did it. Now I know! :)

Ever since I read the tip here about holding down the control button and scrolling the wheel of the mouse, I've been doing that on all other websites and it's wonderful. Much less strain on my eyes.

Thanks again.
